Honoring the late Byron Antipas, a founding member of the Hellenic Society for the Protection of Nature and its General Secretary for 35 years, the HSPN established, in 1998, the homonymous award, which is given to a person or non-governmental organization that has contributed effectively, over time and selflessly, for the protection of Greek nature and the environment.
