The Board of Directors of the HSPN has the following composition: Nikos Petrou, a prosthodontist by profession, is a naturalist, nature photographer and author, and has published more than 15 books on nature and environmental subjects. He is a member of HSPN since 2003, and on the BoD since 2006. He served as Vice President since 2007, and, after 2009, he is continouslly elected as President. He is a member of the Nature Committee, responsible for the Blue Flag Programme, and in charge of the European projects section. Since 2016 he is an elected member of the FEE Board of Directors, and, since 2019, a member of the International Steering Committee of Green Key. Sociologist, MSc in Environmental Planning, Board Member since 2005. She actively participates in the Environmental Education Programs Committee of the HSPN, of which she was Chairman for several years. She is an active member of the Fund Raising Committee as well. Meanwhile, from autumn of 2017, she is the coordinator of the pilot and multidimensional project for the Regeneration of the island of Kythira after the catastrophic forest fire of the summer of 2017. It is noted that in 2008 she took over the duties of Deputy Secretary General and in January 2018 the duties of Secretary General, while since September of 2020 she is the Vice President of HSPN’s Board of Directors and she again undertakes the Coordination of the Committee of Educational Programs. Finally, she is a member and/or coordinator of the organizational committees for conferences, seminars, scientific one-day conferences and all kinds of events organized by HSPN.
Stamatis Skampardonis is a teacher. He has been a member of the HSPN since 1994. From 2000, he is an elected member of the Board of Directors and from 2015-2020 he was the Vice President of the Board. In September of 2020, he assumed the duties of Secretary General of the Board of Directors. He has been involved in environmental education and has played an important role in its promotion. He has been responsible for environmental education at the Direction of Primary Education of the Ministry of Education as well as in Eastern Attica from 1993-1995. Since 1995 he is a member of the Educational Committee of the European Program “Eco-Schools” and Vice-President of the steering committee. He writes articles regarding environmental and cultural issues in newspapers and websites. He is also a member of the drafting committee and since 2016 he is responsible for the material of the magazine ¨Nature¨ published by HSPN. Recently, his book «Ta Fanarakia tou Aigaiou» (The little lanters of the Aegean Sea), illustrated by Alkisti Oikonomopoulou and published by Eumaros, was released.
Marina Yeroulanou, 1971, born in Athens, studied IT and history of art/architecture in Williams College of Massachusetts (USA) and archeology/ ancient architecture in Oxford University where she concluded her Master and Doctoral degrees. She worked as a project manager on organizing conferences and European courses, and on the sector of “city operation” for the Olympic games. She is currently working as a freelancer on designing and inspecting databases for cultural organizations and companies. The last years, she specializes on inspecting financial IT programs. Economist, a graduate of Wesleyan University (USA) and the London School of Economics. He has had 36 years of working experience in the banking sector, in Greece and abroad. Since December 2017, he is a member of the HSPN and participates in the Fund Raising Committee. In 2019 he was elected Member of the Board of Directors, while from September 2020 he assumed the duties of Treasurer of the Board of Directors of the HSPN. Anastasia Miseyianni is an instructor on Environmental Studies in Deree-American College of Greece. She has a degree on Chemistry from the University of Athens, master “DEA” from the University Paris 7, and Doctoral from the University of Marburg on biochemistry/ molecular biology, while she has participated on master courses on ecology and biodiversity management. She has developed and teach a big number of pre-master courses, emphasizing on chemistry and environmental studies, contributing significantly on the creation of pre-master programs of environmental studies (2010) and biomedical sciences (2019) on Deree-American College of Greece. She was coordinator of the environmental studies program for the decade 2010-2020 and head of the department “science and mathematics” for Deree from 2014 till 2020. She contributed on efforts made and initiative, for the promotion of sustainability on the American College of Greece. Her currently researching interests are focused on environmental education and awareness, sustainability for higher education, innovate strategies on teaching and learning “STEM”, emphasizing on energetic and experiential learning, issues of Mediterranean biodiversity, and environmental health. She is a member of the steering committee of the “NATIONAL THEMATIC WEB OF ENVIRONMENAL EDUCATION” “Green corners of my city”, which is coordinated from the Hellenic society for the protection of nature. Vera Vorylla holds a BA with distinction In English Language and Literature from ΝKUA, a M.Ed from HOU and she is a Ph.D. candidate in social skills at the University of Ioannina. She has been a co-ordinator of Environmental Education in Primary Education Directorate of East Attica since 2009 and has organized numerous student actions and teacher trainings on sustainability and active citizenship. She has taken part in several European programmes. Her papers have been presented in conferences and included in books and the educational material created is related to Education for Sustainable Development, democratic active citizenship, ICT in education and life skills. Since 2014 she has been a member of the Eco-Schools Committee and has cooperated with HSPN in various educational programmes. Giorgis Theodoratos was born in Kalamata. He studied Political Science at the University of Athens and is an entrepreneur in the field of Advertising and Real Estate. He has worked in political campaigns and volunteered in NGO programs. He has actively been participating in the HSPN since 1997, as an auditor in the Blue Flag program and has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2022, being responsible for the same program. Sophia Kainourgiou was born in Volos. She is a graduate of the Alexandroupolis Pedagogical Academy and of the Major Training at Marasleion Teaching School. She has served for 26 years as a teacher and Head teacher in public primary schools across the country, by implementing environmental education programs. Over the past ten years she has been Environmental Education Coordinator in the 2nd region of Athens of Primary Education, where she organized and co-ordinated training seminars for primary school teachers. She has worked closely with the Hellenic Society for the Protection of Nature (EEPF), as a Board member (March 2015), as a member of the Coordination Committee of the networks 'Learning about forests' and ‘Green Corners in my Neighborhood’ and as a member of the Society’s Educational Programs Committee. She has participated as a co-author in the publications of EEPF and she is a children's book writer. Petros Blesios was born in Athens in 1979. He is a lawyer at the Courts of Appeal, member of the Athens Bar Association, and he specialises in air and maritime transport. He is particularly interested in the prevention of the climate crisis and and the protection of biodiversity and ecosystem. Petros is a graduate of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Law School and of the Leiden Law School. As of 2020 he voluntarily provides legal services to H.S.P.N. He is member of the Society’s Board of Directors as of 2021.
Antiopi Frantzi is a teacher and writer. She has studied law and pedagogy, has been retrained at the University of Strathclyde in Environmental Education and holds an M.Ed from the University of the Aegean, on "Gender and New Educational and Work Environments in the Information Society". She was one of the first coordinators of Environmental Education in Primary Education: from 1991 to1994 in the Directorate of Piraeus and from 1994 to 1997 in the 1st Directorate of Athens. She worked in various primary schools as a teacher and served as a principal in the 7th and 70th Primary Schools of Athens. She writes articles on educational and other topics, delves in teacher training and authors educational materials. She has also written books for children and adults.
Ms. Frantzi has been a member of the pedagogical team and the coordinating committee of the European program "Eco Schools" since 1995. She was also a member of the Board of Directors of EEPP during the period 2017 and 2018.

AUDIT COMMITTEE
The Audit Committee is three-member and is elected by the General Assembly for one year. The composition of the Audit Committee was determined at the election of 5th of April 2023 as follows:
