Our People

Stamatis Skampardonis is a teacher. He has been a member of the HSPN since 1994. From 2000, he is an elected member of the Board of Directors and from 2015-2020 he was the Vice President of the Board. In September of 2020, he assumed the duties of Secretary General of the Board of Directors.

He has been involved in environmental education and has played an important role in its promotion. He has been responsible for environmental education at the Direction of Primary Education of the Ministry of Education as well as in Eastern Attica from 1993-1995. Since 1995 he is a member of the Educational Committee of the European Program “Eco-Schools” and Vice-President of the steering committee.

He writes articles regarding environmental and cultural issues in newspapers and websites.

He is also a member of the drafting committee and since 2016 he is responsible for the material of the magazine ¨Nature¨ published by HSPN. Recently, his book «Ta Fanarakia tou Aigaiou» (The little lanters of the Aegean Sea), illustrated by Alkisti Oikonomopoulou and published by Eumaros, was released.
