SMP “Stop Waste Heroes” project aims to raise awareness and tackle food waste at the households. The project Is being implemented with the participation of five schools from the International Environmental Education Network “Eco-Schools,” where students act as multipliers of knowledge, engaging their entire families and wider social environment through educational activities and the use of the Stop-Waste App. Families receive the necessary equipment and become both recipients and active players in a structured programme for documenting and reducing food waste with the use of digital tools.

Five schools are innovating and actively participating in the fight against food waste:

– 21st Primary School of Athens “Lela Karagianni”
– 3rd Primary School of Zografou
– 7th Primary School of Gerakas
– 4th Primary School of Petroupolis
– Hellenic American Educational Foundation – Primary School of Athens College

The 14-month project is coordinated by Action Art, and in addition to the EEPF, MSolutions is participating in data analysis and technical support for the application.
